Barking Brilliant 6 Week Training Course

At HT Dog Training we understand the unique and cherished bond between you and your dog. Our mission is to empower you with the knowledge and tools to build a strong and positive relationship with your furry family member.

Our Barking Brilliant Class is a six week course general training course designed to help with different training or behavioural challenges.  This course is suitable for any breed of dog eight months of age or over (we have had everything from 8 months to 12 years join and it has been proven we can teach old dogs new tricks!!)

Each week we will embark on a new training topic focusing on the most common issues modern dog carers face.  Over the six weeks we will cover such topics as –

• Lead handling techniques
• Focus – the ability to focus on their handler and keep their attention in differnet situations.
• Impulse Control – such as stealing items or food, barking or jumping up.
• Loose Lead – pulling on the lead our lunging
• Recall – Off lead recall and an effective return in distracting or potentially dangerous situations

What can you expect from our training sessions?

1. **Learn Essential Training Techniques:** We will guide you through proven methods to teach your dog.

2. **Foster Positive Behaviour:** We focus on positive reinforcement techniques that create a nurturing environment.

3. **Build a Stronger Bond:** As you and your dog work together, you'll strengthen your connection.

4. **Socialise Your Dog:** Interacting with other dogs and owners in a controlled setting will help your dog become more comfortable and well-behaved in various situations.

5. **Judgement Free:** We don’t judge, all dogs and people are differnet and are at different stages in their journey, we are here to help and guide not judge!

6. **Have Fun:** Training should be an enjoyable experience for both you and your dog. We believe in making learning a fun adventure for all!

As with all our classes space as limited to allow us to maximise our time with you so there will be no more than 6 dogs in each class and those dogs you meet week one will be your classmates for the course!

Our venue is located just outside Harpenden on the edge of the Luton Hoo Estate and offers a peaceful, secure, and safe environment for our dogs to train.
